X-Ray Diffractometer

The XRD supports NMSU researchers in the latest materials analysis techniques.

CURRL has three laboratories:

MICS-Microscopic Imaging Core Suite, MMAS-MOLB Molecular Analysis Services, and XRD-X-Ray Diffractometer

PANalytical Empyrean X-Ray Diffractometer

The Empyrean multipurpose diffractometer is an X-ray platform for the analysis of powders, thin films, nanomaterials and solid objects.  The Empyrean uses PIXcel technology, able to be used as a point, line and area detector.

Acquisition funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Defense Research and Education Program through the Army Research Office.
